  • On Trogon Tours' services for his two tours with us to Argentina All of our experiences with Trogon were good. First of all, they are very responsive, answering queries promptly and honestly...that counts when you're a long way away. On our first trip with them, to Iguazu and Ibera, two things went wrong, neither of which had anything to do with Trogon. On the first morning of our trip the flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu was cancelled because of fog, after many hours of us waiting at the airport. Aerolineas Argentinas were useless in the circumstances but Trogon managed to get us the last tickets on an overnight bus and had their city representative come to the airport, take us to the bus station, collect our tickets and see us safely on our way. Miguel and his driver drove three hours to pick us up on arrival. My wife was taken ill on the trip and Miguel was wonderfully helpful, driving us to three different clinics and then rearranging things to move us out earlier than planned. Not to give the wrong impression...we have had wonderful experiences with Trogon...just to say that, if anything did go wrong, they will look after you completely. Our second trip, to Patagonia, was absolutely brilliant in all ways. Everything went perfectly smoothly, and our guide, Pablo, was so knowledgeable and so likeable that we now consider him a real friend… In summary, I can absolutely recommend Trogon. I don't find them cheap, but Argentina is quite an expensive country for wildlife tours, compared to others I've visited. I think you will 'get what you pay for' however and have a great time with them.

  • On his 2017 private Brazil tour "I found Trogon incredibly friendly, honest and very helpful. I must admit I was a little anxious as I had not heard of them before but I need not have worried. We had a 4 week personalised trip where nothing at all went wrong. It went exactly to plan and was so well organised, that we maximised our wildlife watching and saw 518 different species of birds, 40 different mammals, many butterflies and several reptiles. I liked the fact that they could cater for both birders and people who enjoyed all aspects of wildlife. Our guide Regina was exceptional and went our of her way to add on and develop activities to suit our requirements." Mike Addis - UK

  • On her 2010 NW Argentina tour with The Travelling Naturalist ”Valerie & David have both asked me to thank you again for our wonderful tour of NW Argentina. You looked after us so nicely & we saw more than any of us had expected. 61 Cacti was a magnificent total, finishing with that unexpected Pereskia but so much more besides. The scenery, particularly up from Purnamarca was stunning.” Rosemary Anderson – East Lothian, UK

  • On his 2011 private Northern Pampas birding tour ”I would like to tell you had a wonderful guide you have in Lucas Marti. He led us for your short tour of the northern pampas last week near Buenos Aires. His birding skills were superb. He has a great ear for calls and put us on almost everything we tried for. I was most impressed. On top of that, he very friendly, spoke very good English and was a pleasure to spend time with. I would love to be in the field again with him on any potential future trips. Thanks for such a good experience.” Gary Ludi - Atlanta GA, USA
