Natural History Tours

“The Neotropic or is one of the eight terrestrial biogeographical realms. It spans through South and Central America and the southernmost end of North America and the Caribbean islands. These regions host an amazing variety of flora and fauna.”

Neotropical fauna and flora are distinct from the one found in North America and the rest of the World. There’s more tropical rainforest here than in any of the other 7 natural realms on Earth. The Neotropical realm includes temperate southern South America. In contrast, the Neotropical Floristic Kingdom excludes southernmost South America, which instead is placed in the Antarctic kingdom, another area worth exploring given its high number of endemic species.

Our natural history journeys are specially designed for those who enjoy watching and photographing wildlife in their natural habitat, throughout the Neotropics, Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic islands. With the sole exception of wildlife cruises, all of our tours are customized to suit our clients’ wishes and they run on a private basis, allowing great flexibility for making the most of your journey to Latin America and Antarctica.

Here’s a list of suggested flora tours to help you planning for your Neotropical travel adventure, but please bear in mind that Trogon Tours runs tours in every country in the Neotropics, so please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries.
